The Quasar Marines are a wandering Space Marine chapter that seem to be loyal to the Emperor, despite their abominably loose standards of armor decorum and
flagrant degradation of geneseed quality. In spite of their acting in the best interests of the Imperium, rumors and accusations of heresy and taint spew like
solar ejections, claiming that the actions of Quasar marines are performed to mock the loyal chapters, including witness accounts of a dragon squad bearing
Quasar sigils, and even Marines who are apparently of the feminine persuasion, impossible as it may seem.
Needless to say, though, the Quasar marines will trudge on for the good of the imperium, even if their allies turn on them....

History: Chapter legends tell of 30 Space Marines disappearing into the Eye of Terror (together?), and seeing no foreseeable future of rejoining their former chapters and brethren, decided to band together, taking on a new chapter signal and colors, becoming a bastion of sanity within the mind-flaying unholiness of the realm of hostile alien geometries.
Finding still-sane marines from other Loyal chapters lost in the warp, this new chapter recruited them. Bit by bit, they fought and grew, finding lost marines who were still loyal, pirating their supplies from the enemy, and cleansing the captured supplies from chaos and modifying them to be not so heretical; armors, weapons, ships, ammunition.
They made exemplary successes as a crusader chapter, taking the fight to the Chaos gods living room carpet, and thriving within their loyalty for the Emperor and his peoples, whilst beset on all sides by monsters who would strike lesser men insane at the briefest glance.
Finally, after what seemed like a thousand eons to the chapter, they emerged from the warp.....
